Let me explain this. I was thinking about the future used car market, and what would have the same depreciation and availability as my Tribeca today. So I came to the conclusion that in the far future my Subaru would equal to today's Isuzu Axiom or comparable underselling Korean SUV.

Either of these would probably be more reliable than my 2014 Hyundai Elantra.

FiST = 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
But really I think a few years down the road the FiST might end up like the Focus SVT, great cars but nobody really gives a shit about them anymore

I have a 2013 Kia soul with six speed and zero options. I figure this is about equivalent to a 2001 PT cruiser with a stick shift.

I think the turbo and decreasing resale value will lead to people with ever-lower incomes buying them and attempting to mod them, using cheaper and cheaper parts. In 10 years, it will be impossible to find a stock one.

No, the Soul's much better. It's at least a Focus.

Tell me about it, I've had to get parts shipped from England for my 2003 because no one makes or carries the right ones :| That being said I think the FiST will end up better off because of how great a car it is (objectively better than the SVTF), and because Ford's on track to make a lot more of them (in 2013 10k FiST's were built compared to 14k SVTF's over its lifetime), so there'll be a larger support group for it as compared to the niche SVTF. Hopefully that means they won't be all riced out like the SVTF's are, you should see the horrors flatbill-wearing bros post on the forums.

Most Acura Integras have been crashed, stolen, or used up and thrown away, just like any decent '60s muscle car. Now I'm just waiting for aging Gen-Xers to hand me armloads of cash because I could really do with some now.

I guess my car is a newer Protege, since that's what it replaced. (in before the rust jokes :-D)

Too easy
My FR-S will be the new s13 240SX, stock ones will be unicorns.

I think a few year from now the FiST will have a cult following.

That's reasonable, although the Soul is indeed better

It already does..

yes, but it's the base model of a cheap, ubiquitous people carrier marketed to young people but ultimately purchased mostly by older people.

Probably none, honestly, the next car I buy is very likely to be much older. Out of new cars, I don't know, maybe the Equus or K900.

my TL is Acura's e39, what some say is the last great car by a once proud brand.

My M235i will probably be pretty similar to an E46 330ci ZHP, I'd imagine. A bit more exclusive, cult following, but not an M car.
